Late on Saturday, November 14th (or early November 15th, depending on where you live), we have a new moon in Scorpio, exact at 11:08pm CT.

In a literal sense, a new moon means the sky is dark, and there’s no moon in the sky.

Symbolically, new moons represent new beginnings. Now is an optimal time to get quiet, look within, and set intentions for what you want to create.

Linking your actions to the phases of the moon may seem like a novel idea if you’re new to astrology. But the truth is, this is something we’ve intuitively known for centuries. Perfect example? Agriculture and modern farming!

According to Farmer’s Almanac, the gravitational pull of the new moon draws more water to the surface of the soil. This makes it easier for planted seeds to absorb that water and take root, grow, and ripen.

This means that this is a very fertile time, perfect for planting that seed of an idea you’ve been ruminating over. It’s possible to make your dream a reality if you act now.

The Scorpio flavor of this new moon suggests that intentions centered around going deep, seeking what’s underneath the surface, and exploring more “uncomfortable” topics that often go ignored will be the most fruitful during this time. Scorpios value real intimacy and connection, which is only possible when we look at the light and dark side of life. This is what makes transformation possible, and paves the way for our rebirth. This is how we uncover our truth.
